Vibrational Massage in Sydney

With a sound bath, you hear the bowls from across the room. With vibrational massage, they sit on your body and play there. The sound starts inside you, not around you.

Tibetan singing bowls placed on a client during a private vibrational massage session at Mystic Wellness Petersham

A private vibrational massage session at Mystic Wellness. The bowl sits on the body. Phoenix plays it there.

You lie on a mat. Phoenix places a Tibetan singing bowl on your back, or your chest, or your legs — and plays it. What you feel is the bowl itself: its weight, its warmth, and the hum of it moving through you. It's quieter than you'd expect. And more present.

Most of us hold things in the body that don't shift with effort — a jaw that resets to tight by Tuesday, shoulders that climb back up no matter how many times you roll them down, a chest that stays half-closed even when the week is fine. Vibrational massage works with all of that. Not by pushing, but by giving the body something it can soften into.

What happens in a session

You arrive at the studio in Petersham, lie down fully clothed on a mat. The room is warm and quiet. Phoenix places bowls — different sizes, different tones — on and around the body, and moves through the session at a pace that responds to what's happening in the room. There's no rigid sequence. No intake form to fill out, no explanations required.

You breathe. The bowls play. Somewhere in there, things that have been held start to settle — or they don't, and that's fine too. Either way, you leave feeling different from how you came in. Most people feel that within the first ten minutes.

Sessions run sixty to ninety minutes. It's private — just you and Phoenix. Nothing to bring. Nothing to prepare.

"I'd had a tight chest for months. Not enough to see a doctor about, just enough to notice. After the first session I drove home and realised it was gone. I still can't fully explain it, but I came back." — A client, Newtown

Who this is for

People who've tried most things and are looking for something that works differently. People who know they carry stress in the body but have found that talking about it only goes so far. People who've been to a group sound bath and want to know what it's like when the sound is placed on you rather than played around you.

You don't need any prior experience with sound healing. You don't need to hold a particular belief about how it works. You just need to be willing to lie still for an hour and let something happen.

Sound bath vs. vibrational massage

Sound bath

You lie in the room while the bowls are played around you. The sound travels across space to reach you — enveloping, like being inside a held note. Can be done in a group.

Vibrational massage

The bowls sit on your body and are played there. Always private, always one-to-one. More direct — the sound and resonance begin at the point of contact and move inward.

Some people do both. They're different experiences, suited to different things. A sound bath opens the whole room; vibrational massage goes to specific places. Ask Phoenix when you book if you're not sure which to start with.
